How Supplementing with Moringa Powder Can Benefit The Elderly
have taken care of the elderly and often they eat little or eat with poor nutrition.
Some of it is due to depression and living alone. It is too much trouble to fix a meal and no one is there to eat it with them.
Another factor is that they
often have problems digesting food or eating because of dental problems. In
nursing homes, many are forced into eating baby food because they can't chew or swallow
at that point. It tastes pretty bad and they aren't allowed spices often on third floor. Third floor in a nursing home is the last stop, where most are in one stage or another of dying. Most are in critical shape by the time they move them down to the third floor. The food they are served is poor in taste and poor in quality...and unappealing in looks.
The elderly will often complain they don't feel like eating or
only want a small serving of a food.
The use of Moringa powder in a drink can
bolster their nutrition. It has much more in it than some of the drinks touted
for the elderly. The calcium, protein, iron, vitamins and minerals are very much needed at this point. Improving their nutritional intake with Moringa powder will help support their immune system, their memory, and other important body function.
You can put the Moringa powder in applesauce or yogurt
as well. The easiest is a smoothie that they can sit and drink.
a well known fact that seniors in nursing homes and at home are undernourished
and deficient in many vitamins and nutrients.
So if you have a loved one who
is getting on in years, give them Moringa powder as a beneficial drink to improve
their nutrition and well being.
Put a teaspoon to a tablespoon of Moringa powder into juice or milk....add a teaspoon of honey. Mix in a blender if possible or a drink mixer bottle designed to make green drinks in. I drink Moringa shakes all the time, especially in the afternoon when my energy is going downhill.
Start out with a teaspoon so they get used to the taste, then increase it gradually.
Moringa powder also tastes good in applesauce, yogurt or in peanut butter.
